Amanda Tapping’s “Stargate: SG-1” character, Samantha Carter, is heading through the gate to Atlantis. “I am contractually obligated to the franchise for a year. I knew at the beginning of Season 10 that it was a possibility that if ‘SG-1’ went down that I might be doing some ‘Atlantis.’ They exercised that option, which is fine," she told fans at a recent convention in England.

Well I am a huge fan of Amanda.. and I love how her character plays so well of David's character, so, it would be very interesting to see more of those two together, weither on Atlantis or back at the SGC.

Now, not knowing how SG-1 S10 is going to end, I doubt that the writers planned on killing SG-1 so early, so its unlikly that SG-1 will find the weapon they need to wipe out the Ori so early, its more likly that they will use Season 11 to finish the entire story arc and hand the reigns over to Atlantis again.

Personally I would love to see the Ancients give up their principles at the last moment and wipe out the whole Ori fleet and their converted followers in one nasty move, perhaps pull an Ori of their own and instruct people on how to build ships and weapons that can be used to fight back against the Ori army. Who knows, maybe the Asureans will travel to earth instead with some fleet and get pulled into the Ori war with the Ori mistaking them for lanteans and let them battle it out allowing SG-1 to come up with a nice Deus Ex Machina to save the day.
