P0is0n0us:
You got the two most important characters featured (and it's ALWAYS about the characters, in my book) and I love the blue/gray color motif. Actually, GITS is one of the few animes I've actually enjoyed. :cylonclap: I've seen the first movie, a few episodes of SAC, and I saw the 2nd movie "Innocence" in the theatre when it came out. GITS Reminds me a lot of "Blade Runner."

Anime for me has always been hit and miss. In my late teens and early 20's I was really into it but got turned off after a while because of the gore and mindless swearing. IMO just because you can do something doesnt mean that you should.

GITS has always been strong, both the movies are excellent and I've only seen the first series on SAC but it seemed to stay faithful to the movies (apart from the majors outfit).

Thank you buddy. I don't know a lot about this series, I had to do some homework to find out if I was even grabbing the right images or not.
So if nothing else this competition exposed me to something new.

I've seen two of the movies (saw "Innocence" in the theatre) and some episodes of the series (SAC, or Stand Alone Complex; the Japanese penchant for oddly-translated-into-English titles continues... :P ). It sure looks like you got it right to me...

The SAC series is the best in my opinion. I usually prefer subbed anime over dubbed but this is one of the exceptions. The voice acting in SAC was very well done. And the dialog is so cerebral that reading subs detracts from this kind of show. Motoko Kusanagi is the epitome of a strong female lead. I haven't see any show that can even hold a candle to her. I would recommend against watching the moviefied versions if SAC and SAC 2nd Gig. There is just too much detail that gets left out. Go with the series; its on Netflix. I found myself watching it again because of this contest.

It seems like a cool series. I have never watched it. I was leery about competing because of my lack of knowledge about the series, but it seems like it would be something that I would watch. Must catch it sometime. I love Anime but I must confess, I have not watched a lot since my son was born. So I am about 1 decade out of the loop with anime. I gather a lot has happened in my absence?

Well even though my knowledge of this topic is limited, I maintain that Poisonous made the best entry overall. His has a nice touch to it. I love that he combined Japanese text with English. He's got a good action mix going on and nice color too. Close second goes to CK with the over-the-top 3D effect of the BIG GUN.

Nice entries by everyone else! Including me! LOL.
