Sparticus is REALLY good, it's kind of like 300 the TV series. Eventually I want to get them on Bluray.
I would also recommend Rome if you haven't seen it, along the same lines but less 300 like visually.

I've seen a few episodes of "Rome". Visually striking, it was. Excellent production values. Hard to believe it was a TV show...

yeah it got canned after 2 seasons for being VERY expensive to make.

In the first season of Spartacus the first episode action was more 300 like. They did well to tone that in a different direction moving forward and it quickly became as much a drama as it was action. Good stuff.

So the folks that are watching season 2 what do you think of the new actor? I haven't been able to sit down and watch it other than the first few minutes of the first episode so I don't really know. It was weird seeing someone else in that role.

Season 3 will be the last. Spartacus creators want to go out while the series is still relevant or something to that effect a la BSG.
