Technically, I didn't actually attend the event (I didn't buy a ticket; my wife the anime fan did) but since we were staying at the hotel where the convention was based (the Los Angeles Marriott, by LAX airport) I was just wandering around the lobby and pool area where I was able to get some colorful and interesting pictures. Some of my personal favorites include The Doctor and River Song, the 'Soviet Waldo,' and the mermaids (they swam very gracefully; like how you'd imagine real mermaids to swim). The complete batch from the trip (or at least what I'm willing to share... hee, hee! ) is available through my Flickr account link here..

If you look carefully, her badge was falling to the floor, too. Right after the photo, my wife pointed it out to her, for which she was grateful (of course, I'm sure River Song would've had a couple of good counterfeit ones on her somewhere.... hee hee). They were the only 'Whovians' I saw there (well, it WAS an anime convention, I suppose...).
