Not that I'm a big fan of the Riddick movies (the first one was OK; the sequel was boring to me), but it's always nice to see KS getting lots of work (or in this case, at the very least, an offer of work...). Hope her career takes off; she's truly a great actress.

Actually, I thought the first one (Pitch Black) was pretty cool. Nice scifi premise, too; Vin Diesel was well-cast in that one (as was his voice in "Iron Giant").

Sounds like she's being pigeonholed into 'tough, action-chick' kind of roles, which is unfortunate because if you ever saw her in person you'd think she'd be ideal for comedies (she's wickedly funny in person; and much more 'girly' too). She'd be so much more vivacious than Jennifer Aniston or Reese Witherspoon. A shame...

While I admit she's awesome in tough chick roles, I just get the feeling she'd be SO much more interesting in a good drama or comedy. She's really vivacious and funny.
I think her sense of humor (hinted upon in Big Bang Theory) comes across so much better in person (sorry CT; I didn't mean to rub that in... :doh:

).

My wife and I had a similar observation about Heidi Klum (supermodel, host of Project Runway). We went to Project Runway panel in Beverly Hills four years ago and she was the life of the panel. She is so humorous in person; very witty. You don't see nearly enough of that on her show (on PR, she's more of a 'boss lady' who occasionally cracks a few jokes). But in person, Klum is charming as all get out (and I'm NOT referring to her obvious good looks, either).

She has had a few jobs where she wasn't playing the tough chick, granted they are all before BSG but she has dont it. She was in one of the halloween movies, played a bimbo that got decapatated pretty quick. She was also in White Noise 2 where is was tough but never shot any one.

She's been offered the part, but she hasn't accepted it yet. But I'm guessing she will if Vin Diesel's in it (actor's sometimes base their next project choices on who they will be co-starring with, and how it could advance their career).
