I still remember that night VERY well.... in fact, if I'm not too mistaken it was also a Saturday night. I remember it was a 3 hr broadcast. One by one my family starting leaving to go to sleep. By the last 45 minutes I was the only one still watching... the following week (after intense babbling from me about how good it was), I converted my kid sister, too! Filled her in on the backstory and she loved it too! Later on she did she (we both saw) the edited version of "Saga of a Star World" in theatres later the following spring (in SENSURROUND!!! :fear: Dum Dum DUUUUMMM!).
Actually saw it quite a few times at the movies... it played really well on the big screen! :cylonclap:

Aaaaahhh, memories.... :D

There are those who believe,
that franchises now began back then...
Far back into the seventies
With a production team of many
who may have been the forefathers of
Bryan Singer, David Eick or even Ronald D Moore...

Some believe that there may yet be an audience for a
direct sequel to the original franchise...
Somewhere beyond the Nielsons....
