Bounty hunter Samus Aran protects the galaxy from the depredations of Space Pirates and their attempts to harness the power of the Metroids.

Here are the rules:
This competition runs on a TWO WEEK setup:
-Monday (week one) topic will be announced.
-Friday (week two) voting will begin and carry through the weekend.
-You are unable to vote for your own artwork.
-The winner will select the topic for the next competition via PM to the contest moderator.
-Maximum size of entries is 600px x 600px
-In the event of a tie, a winner will be selected by the contest mod
-ONLY the contest Mod, or a site Admin, can disqualify an entry
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST!

Samus, and her art contest friends, have traveled through the caverns of the planet Zebes to stop the Space Pirates from exploiting the Metroid species for galactic domination. They have defeated the guardians, Kraid and Ridley
... and now must confront the cybernetic lifeform Mother Brain! WHO WILL WIN?!

Time to vote!

I don't get it either. I'm a PC gamer, not a console guy. All I know about Metroid is it seems to have very little story beyond blowing up aliens, and the only thing that makes Samus stand out as a character seems to be the shock all the fanboys received when the power suit came off and everyone found out she was really a hot blonde girl.

Anyway, point CK.
