Well i finished the port garage section and that will be it for the sections except for the assembly. Now i have to wait for the decals before i can start gluing it together.

Really NICE looking Battlestar. I am in agreement with the above poster, your 3rd one is really a work of art. I have to say I am really impressed with the photoetch pieces and how they looked once in place. Makes a big difference with the model. I have used them on 1/700 scale warship models and they do really make them stand out - wish they had a set for the TOS Cylon Baseship models.

Absolutely STELLAR work as always C75! :thumbsup:

Still waiting for my decals to come in so i have done some more detail painting not much more i can do now in the paint dept until i decal it but i have started to make the launch tubs in the sides of the landing bays.

Well i just did something different with this Galactica than i did with the last 2 ,I made the viper launch tubes on the sides of the landing bays. Although they are no the triangle shape that they are suppose to be, they are there and i like them just the same. Plus the area is so small i dint think you could it and have it look right. I did it with a really small set of drill bits that i have.

Is this the "Big" scale GALACTICA you have in your collection (with the big PEGASUS) or the smaller one like you have with your Fleet of Ships?

Looking to get myself one.

Second question: Where do you get your plastic sheet stock - locally or via mail-order?

I get get my stock from a local hobby shop but you can get it off eBay or just google it, its pretty easy to find.

Well I'm back in business. Got my decals , and ill tell you the decals in the garage section aint easy to put in -there a bi--- to put in. Ill see what they look like in the morning when they dry, my big fingers don't fit in that small section at all. Luckily you wont see much of it when it together any way.

The garage sections don't look that bad after the dried over night. I'm happy with them, shot a coat of clear on them and glued them in place.I'm doing the decals in the hard to get to places before i assemble the landing bays to the ship to make it easier ,starting with the inside areas of them as pictured. I have also decided to make this a early battle damage ship from early mini series and season 1 so i did a little damage to the port upper landing bay that i will weather later on .

DAMN impressive set of decals!

Are they waterslide? Do they have a lot of "trim" on them you have to cut off or are they precise cut for ease of placement?
Please advise where you got them - wish they hat a set of that quality for the BSG1 GALACTICA. Anyone know of a set?
