From io9; the article is HERE.

I still think Blood & Chrome will be a one-off movie, though; just my opinion.
The pilot may be great (who knows?), but Caprica's pilot was great, and look how that worked out. The audience just isn't there, sadly... :cylonnono:

We'll see. :cylon-pancarte03: I would LOVE to be wrong on this... ;)
Anyway, enjoy the article: Enjoy, discuss, nit pick.... :cylonclap:

Yikes, I got tired of reading it after about three paragraphs! *epic foreshadowing!?*

So, this "midquel" (Cylon-Knight registered trademark ;)) will be told entirely as a flashback?! Goodness.
"All base ships are now in range to attack the colonies."

I want you to be wrong. I am making my prediction that if 2 million tune in for the pilot it gets greelit for a series. Of course how syfy works it could be greelit before the pilot airs. If they don't frak the scheduling up I see it appealing to a lot of the BSG fans that didn't tune into Caprica. Let's be honest. The scheduling for Caprica did not help the cause.

If they would have put episodes together sooner they might have been able to weather the storm a bit.

I am Pro Blood & Chrome and this premise of this story sounds interesting.

That's right! The first three shows will be in the spring of 2011. The next three in January 2013 and then it will be shut down with the finale never shown or put on DVD. LONG LIVE SYFY! :argh:

Don't forget; they'll release the pilot on dvd/bluray a year before they show the first episode... ;)

Believe me, even though it's a 'midquel' (you gotta coin that one, CK), I will still watch.
I'll be honest, I don't have ANY hope for it being greenlit as a series (nor am I sure it should be, either).
But I'm sure the pilot (at least) will be good. :cylonclap:

I will hold out with Blood and Chrome. I'm holding out with the hope it delivers. Then I can come back 2 years from now and ridicule you both :P

2 years... that'll be the gap between the first and second episodes!

I should be about 70 when the series finale airs.... at the end of season 1.0! :D

Oh, I'm not poo poo'ing on B&C per say... just have little faith in SyFy. I HOPE! that B&C is the bestest thing ever on TV.... but I'm going to have to wait and see. :cylon-pancarte04:

I am personally excited to get more BSG. I would to get to see more Adama in his youth and see what mold's him into being admiral Adama. My only hope is that they at least try to remember what has happened and keep in line with BSG. As mentioned above if they are going to make it a series try to release it not too far from the pilot. Caprica we had to wait a year before the series started, not the best way to kick off a show.

I've also been thinking about no RDM on the show. Originally I was against it as BSG was his baby. After Caprica and seeing that he and the writers were basically making it us as they go along I am hopeful that new blood will help.

OK. I want B&C to be awesome - BUT sorta like P said - my big fear is that it will be a train wreck like the most recent Knight Rider. Just tiring to cash in on the fan base, with no real purpose.

I don't think it will be. In reality Caprica was not a train wreck. It was a victim of poor scheduling and a few poorly written episodes.

You guys need to think past RDM. Michael Taylor, Bradley Thompson and David Weddle were instrumental in BSG and they are here for Blood & Chrome.

Oh yea, Caprica was great I think - I loved it. Hoping that B&C will be too, whenever they do air the show(s).

Caprica was OK (got a lot better in it's end run), but the lack of RDM was keenly felt (to me, anyway). For better or worse, he is the soul of the NuBSG franchise.
I fear that any future BSG endeavor without his name (ala most of Caprica and Blood & Chrome) will just miss the mark.
David Eick is little more than a very talented producer, not writer or anything else (we've seen proof of this in his episodes and decisions for the franchise; as well as his sh***y Bionic Woman revival).
Michael Taylor gives me hope though (he 'gets it'). :cylonclap:

But again, as much as I'd love to see the pilot movie, this is one trip to the well too many... :cylonnono:

Maybe not. Let it get out of the gates first. Blame me, as a stoic fan boi, if it fails.

With the development of the pilot and the rollout of the series, but he kind of took his hands off of the reigns after that.
