There isn't any reason for Saul or Ellen to not make an appearance. Time for the Final Five have really no meaning. Only reason I say those two is just because the other really had no relationship with Bill Adama until after the 1st Cylon War.
But like I already said they could make cameos in an indirect way... Like Tyrol is working on something mechanical and a young Adama doesn't take any notice. Same for the Chief. of course Tyrol wouldn't be a Chief but he is a mechanic...

Welcome aboard, alvert!
They could make cameos (in fact, I like your proposed scenario for Tyrol); assuming we ever see this show/movie (at this point? I'm beginning to doubt it, though). If anything, I'm starting to think it'll squeak onto TV barely noticed, without much fanfare. For some reason, SyFy is simply NOT promoting it, and that's not a good sign...

yeah it's due out very soon and there hasn't even been a teaser for it??? I don't understand why they would do the show then shelve it. Maybe Syfy isn't happy with the finished product?

If syfy isn't happy with it then it must be a good show.

I doubt it; if SyFy hates it? Then it must suck beyond all comprehension, as their standards are pretty frakking low....
