Agreed!

New Statement:
Terminator 3 is not a great movie, but it's not really as bad as it's reputation would indicate; and the ending was great!

If you mean, do I agree that not being on fire is the better alternative to burning to death? Yeah, I agree.

Definitely agree! Especially since I fart about 20 times a day no matter what I eat anyway. :P

The original Knight Rider is better than the reboot.

Agree.

There is a lack of original ideas with all the reboots. (Robocop is on its way to a reboot)

Agreed. And a Robocop reboot has "bad idea" all over it.
They spent two sequels, and two short-lived TV series trying to nail the magic of the original movie. It never happened... :cylonnono:

New statement:
Many of my favorite movies of yesteryear (Solaris, 2001, Robinson Crusoe on Mars, etc) would NEVER be greenlighted by a major studio these days.

Disagree. That doesn't mean a solid product would be produced.

The Wrath of Kahn is to Star Trek as The Empire Strikes Back is to Star Wars in terms of an awesome sequel.

Star Wars is space fantasy, not science fiction (in the truest sense).

Definitely agree. Science and Star Wars have never crossed paths. Plus, it fits the archetypes of fantasy better. Starcraft is the same way.

Glee is a well-written show.

I have never watched it so I can't say.

It wouldn't surprise me if Glee and shows like it really are well written. There are a lot of shows out there in the same situation.

Totally agreed! When I was 15 (and first saw "Wrath of Khan") I sooooo wanted that apartment!! No wonder Kirk gets all the women; he had a killer bachelor pad.

Wrath of Khan is NOT overrated. It's reputation is deserved.

AGREED - it is perfect. AND in fact, it was the first time a motion picture was a direct sequel to a television show.

Agreed. I haven't heard anyone under the age of 70 who still calls it 'pop.'

Disagree; usually when I stare at clocks at work, it's because I am trying to make them go faster!
