Don't drink and warp.... ;)

Agree with maneth; it'll be a huge hit only if they don't make any serious mistakes.
I actually liked the i-bridge (Mac owner pride, I suppose :P ), but yeah; I could without Budweiser-prise engineering...

NS:
Warp speed, or any kind of FTL travel makes for great fiction, but is ultimately impossible not only because the energy demands are too great but because the human race lacks the ambition to try.

Disagree about the ambition part. I'm sure it is there but how we allocate our resources is seriously flawed on this planet. Right now the energy demands are probably beyond us but with all the stuff they are finding with that atom smashing machine or whatever it is it makes me believe the human race is capable of discovering it at some point.

Disagree.the power to hop Galaxy's is at hand.but the power to destroy has to be wiped from your race before you can see what is right beneath your eye's...

The physics just aren't there for warp travel (not in this reality, anyway). We think we understand it intuitively (from science fiction), but there's much that science fiction leaves to fiction... ;)

DVDs are awesome. Frak Blu Ray. I'll buy those only when I absolutely have no choice. My 1080p upscaling DVD player keeps me plenty happy; even on my HD TV set.

NS:
Sadly however? The age of optical media (CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays) is rapidly coming to a close. I'd say in about 12 years or less most new movies will be flash drive or streaming only.

Even though I won't see any of the Star Wars prequels in 3D, I'm halfway curious to see how badly they've screwed with "A New Hope."

Disagree. I've never been able to understand people who think cars are an extension of their own personality rather than just simply a rather handy way to get from location A to B.

Disagree. Award shows are a pompous, arbitrary waste of time and resources.

New statement: I don't need critics to tell me which movies I'm supposed to like.

Mmmmm....agree and disagree...I know what you are saying. Many movies I have loved and the critics have not. However, I believe in some critics that are truly accurate in their reviews of the movies and I support their criticisms. So I say, let it roll.
