Keep peace in the city tonight for me guys. I'm going to a wedding. I am going to start my DVD recorder before I leave since I don't trust the timer on it.
Have fun.

Don't read this if you haven't seen the episode. It is just my rant about it but it will have spoilers.
I actually felt sorry for Col. Tigh. I know he felt bad for what he did to Ellen. I know it is ALL over the boards that Ellen was not one of the most liked characters but he loved her. For all her faults she seemed to love him.
Baltar in this episode seemed better. He is going off to be with Caprica but he showed some redeeming qualities trying to make up for all the bad he caused. Well nothing he could ever do will make up for all he has done.
OMGs what a action sequence. THIS was the fight scene to end all fight scenes in space for Galactica. Jumping the Galactica in high atmosphere and launching Vipers as ground support fighters. WOW. Hot Dog said it best "this is going to be different". Did you seem the awesome firepower of the Pegasus? That Battlestar can shoot. Too bad for it though. I heard so many rumors about it being destroyed and wished it wasn't be it sure saved the day. For a moment I though Lee was going to stay with the ship but it was a nice touch to say thank you. It was nice to see the flight pod with the Pegasus name plate crash into a Basestar. Was a good finishing touch to that wonderful ship.
I loved the line when Zarek was trying to get Laura to her ship. He said "come on the ship is this way" She said "I am going to the ship up the hill (motioning to Colonial One). He followed up by saying "you sure have a flair for the dramatics"
Poor Starbuck she was mind fraked by Leoben. Kidnapping that kid and coming to her saying it was hers. What a mind game. Leoben's model sure loves messing with people. That was a twist I didn't expect at all. I think Starbuck actually loved that kid and now poof gone to her real mother.
Was nice to see Gaeta grow a set. Holding a gun to Baltar. Too bad he didn't pull the trigger.
I was really touched by the scene where Tigh gets off the Raptor and requests permission to come aboard. Adama grants permission and thanks Tigh and says "you did it, you fot them all home" Tigh says "not everyone" and walks away looking VERY sad. All the while the crowd puts Adama on their shoulders and chants his name he looks at Tigh slowly walking away. Tigh just looked like he is giving up. Nothing left to live for. If this doesn't drive him back to drinking I don't know what will.
It was a shame not to see Cally with the Chief on the flight deck while he was getting people organized. I hope she made it out. I didn't see her at all this episode but she made it safe from the last one. I guess scenes with her where left on the cutting room floor.
I wonder if RDM will release and Extended Exodus Part 2 on DVD. That episode HAD to be originally longer then it aired.
Talk about a roller coaster ride of an episode.
Up to this point my favorite episode was Pegasus but this episode beat it hands down.
This is only the 3rd episode of Season 3. I ask myself how are they going to top this one. What I'd give to be a fly on the wall during a writers meeting.
Ok enough of my rant.
Oh ONE more thing. Yeah for Adama shaving and looked like he even cut his hair. He is back to being spit and polish military. You can tell he loves to have his people back aboard.

If you look very closely and watch the episode numerous times like I have, you can see Cally standing on the flight deck holding the baby next to the raptor that Col. Tigh hobbles off from to be greeted by Adama Snr. at these times: 37m 46s, and 39m 12s -17s.
And I completely agree, I cheered quite excessively when he started shaving it off, I don't really know why he had it in the first place, when I first saw it on him at the end of season 2 the first thing I said was "eh, gringo, I kill your donkey!..."

Wow what detail!! I wished they would have made the bond a bit more obvious. Such a joyious day and they are standing far apart.
He grew it more symbolically as his sign of getting lazy. Notice when the Chief new they where going to get rescued he shaved his beard.
Col Tigh didn't though, and from what I have seen I don't think he is taking his place as XO of Galactica. Saw a preview of 305 and he didn't even have a uniform on when they where pronouncing sentence on Jammer for help the Cylons.
