I have a Question, Some of you may have noticed I used the word BattleBook on a few buttons on the Terminals I made, The thing I just noticed is on Battlestar Wiki and another site that lists Terminology from TOS BSG the word BattleBook is no where to be found on them, I could have sworn that I heard the word BattleBook used in TOS BSG, It refers to the Identification of Enemy Ships on the Computer, I find this very strange why these sites wouldn't include this on their sites, If anyone has an Explanation why BattleBook is not included on these sites, Please let me now. Thanks.

Bill

BattleBook is a reference to a system that ID ships. This system has been renamed several times and we now recognize it as 'Dradis'.

As we all (should) know, Dradis is a 3D scanning device. It scans all 'nearby objects' and run them through the colonial data-base. If a match is found its' ID signature is displayed as either friendly or hostile. If no match is found it registers as "Unknown".

The over-all shape of a vessal is measured and the matching system works much like, you might laugh, wikipedia. It sort after relevance.

If the match is 51 % Cylon, it would register as "possible hostile", at 75 % it registers as hostile. 50 % or less match with any fleet record would register as unknown. This would be one of the reasons to why the first Cylon contacts didn't show up on dradis as hostile right away. If they had, many souls and ships such as the Atlantia could have been saved. If the warships had fired at the Cylons right away, fewer ships would have been infected by the virus.

The new Cylon ships have a 30 % or less similarity with earlier Cylon creations.

They mention the Battle Book in Saga of a Star World. Apollo says it to Zac when they go to patrol Cimtar.

I have a correction. It's called a Warbook in the original series. http://en.battlestar...rg/wiki/Warbook

Yeah, the Colonials had a Warbook (http://en.battlestar...rg/wiki/Warbook). I wonder if the Cylons had some counterpart... I don't know of any canon from TOS for a Cylon version, I was just wondering what it would be called...
