Nah, you could do it okay in a room ... not a FULL SIZE prop, just a sudio scale model - like a few feet long. However, a full size prop would ROCK! sean, we can make a full size classic Raider. WOOT

where can i find blue prints. I've thought of a few ships id like to do full scale mock up.but can never find enough detailed blueprints on all angles.just a dream but i dream big.three foot would be a good start tho .

This one I already know. Saw some Work-in-Progress pics of a model of it somewhere in the net (photobucket?), but is has not been seen finished since.
I saved some pictures of it.

Yea, Sean got the correct pic of the INTERCEPTOR put up. (Tks my friend). It is also called the "PROWLER" on some wargamming SSD's I have seen as that is the origin of the design - a fighter of the same time era of the TOS RAIDER but is faster, more manuverable and better armed.
I think I know of the fighter you are speaking of. It was a fan made project called the CYLON RAVEN. It is very heavily armed fighter that is more similar to the RAZOR RAIDER (as in Seans's post above) than the PROWLER. Have posted some pics below:

The one I mean is a faithful build project of a Cylon Interceptor/Prowler converted out of a Monogram/Revell kit , just like the Raven, but it's not the Raven.
Anyway, the Razor inspired Raider Sean posted above takes the cake IMHO..
