My wife's cousin has worked for NASA at JPL (the workplace of BBT's characters) for almost 40 years; and did work on the Apollo program before that.
IMO, he's scientist enough.

my dad bought Ezri an MP3 player and some kids headphones for her birthday. It arrived late and Ezri received it yesterday. She loves music and to sing and play guitar, despite being five. I began to wonder what music a five year old listens to considering I've only heard her hum one non-school song.

I was not expecting her to list her favourite Bjork songs!

I was already a huge music fan when I was 5 and I already listened to a lot of soft rock music. Oeh and the bangles I remember playbacking eternal flame with a hairbrush over and over as a kid:P
As long as you keep her away from Justin Bieber-like crap shell be fine
Keep her involved with music, its great for brain and cognition development (yes a little shamless scientific selfpromotion right there)

I was exactly the same - and am completely music reactive now. It seems to be a family trait I've passed along from my father who loved music so much that he became a DJ as a part time gig around his day job.

It's possibly also the reason I'm very picky with entrance music when wrestling. If I use the wrong track, my mood will be completely off in the ring and I don't perform as well. even if it's a track that gets me in the mood, if the tone is wrong - my performance is wrong.

Aside from Bjork she seems to like the catchiness of Lady Gaga, but I liked the catchiness of Motown at that age so I won't hold that against her
