I am currently in my home town and country of England. I have just drunk 10 pints of beer and had a donner kebab with chips (fries) and chilli...I feel a strong urge to puke!

Welcome home! Binge drinking, hating the government, hating the opposition, page 3, kebabs and overpriced beer.

It's a strange land.

The part about hating the government and hating the opposition sound vaguely familiar to me somehow.... :P

I think it's just universal stupidity.

"Vote Labour! Tony Blair will solve all our problems!"
"Tony Blair's the devil. Get him out, Gordon Brown in!"
"Yay Gordon Brown! He didn't cause the problems and now he's trying to fix them."
"Gordon Brown caused the problems and never tried to fix them. He's ruined the country! Vote someone else!"
"Boo the new government!"

It might be a simplified cycle of the past few years, but it's driving me nuts.

Indeed. I sometimes wonder if Mat Groenig and Seth MacFarlane write for government.

No, the candidates would be much wittier and funnier.... :D

As they are, they're merely a bad joke.

Congrats... if you knewme youd say condolences
And that was exactly what it was
It was not nice to have an IQ higher than the combined of all peope involved... nope not arrogant but some of those girls are dumb as treestumps
Still it was pretty fun to do it for one weekend
the clothes the heels the hair the make up the cat walk
I mean Id never done it in Amsterdam but here .. meh just tried :D
It was great as an 'Ive done that' experience.. but nothing more its so not for me.
I prefer to make my living on my brain not my looks seriously

The hair also .. not my thing
Its a great haircut .. really the most expensive Ive ever had (but without paying)
Howeverf .. its also not me .. (extreme straight bob cut .. kinda like In Time chick OT:P)
luckily theres a Rock hair salon right around the corner of my uni :)
Im sure they can fix it to some extend.

I have a friend of mine who used to do runway shows, and she feels kind of the same way you do; it was an interesting experience when she was younger, but she's glad she didn't try to make a full-time living out of it. She did a few wedding shows and stuff like that, but it wasn't her thing....

And I'd love to see YOU in an "In Time"-style bob cut.... oh, the irony. :P

Aha! Podcast is go. It's not perfect, but it's a good enough start.

I feel all modern.

It's here but as it's Mass Effect related, it might not be of interest to many.

It did teach me a few things though - podcasting is not as easy as it seems. The best laid plans never work out. And my mic sucks :P But... with the next topic, I think we'll be a little more prepared as we know what we're going into In this one we picked a topic and ended up chatting about it for an hour and a half (though... I trimmed that down a bit :P) so it was really us just finding our feet.

Don't know anything about Mass Effect but look forward to your podcast about Deep Space 9! You sound great by the way. You and Toaster should become DJs!

If only I could nail a Scottish accent... as it is, I'd sound like a bad James Doohan impersonator. :roflmao:

And Baltar? I second CT's statement; I can't WAIT until you do a DS9 podcast.... or even a Doctor Who or Torchwood or hell, ANY good BBC TV.

What's new in my life?
This Thursday we (Mrs T and I) make the reservations for Comic Con, San Diego. And we have to act quickly; registrations open online at 9 am that morning, and the good ones all go about a half hour to an hour afterward; no exaggeration...
