I always wondered why they did the camera pull back in the ship to show the FTL jump, but quit using in in the series.

Also curious; why the Galactica's landing pods are retracted before her first jump in the miniseries, and when she jumps into Ragnar, they are already extended again. Hmmm.... cylonnono.gif
