me too, I hope that its as awesome as the title, but the scifi preview doesn't fill me with much hope, they didn't give us too much to speculate on.

Well, I thought it was an interesting episode. Not exactly earth-shattering, but they can't hit it out of the park every time.

I'm still very intrigued by the Baltair plot. I'm liking him as a character, but I don't like what he's preaching at all, so I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm sure he believes in his cause (which is a major change for him), but I'm not sure it's a good cause.

The Four seem to have lost control of their ability to project. Maybe it's because they were activated late in life.

I'm starting to like Lee more.

All Tigh's warnings about stealth seem to have gone out the airlock. Some interesting scenes with him and Caprica though.

Caprica Six + Ellen's face =

I totally do not get the title.

Next episode looks really interesting.

Since Gaius is my last remaining favorite character, I like this episode from the POV that it focused on him. With that being said, I kinda got the feeling that we were watching his trial all over again. And, the comparison to what has happened here on Earth with one religion fighting another was not lost on me.

Points:
Tyrol's demoted. Is it permament, or just until he stops grieving?
Laura wears a wig. I don't think she will survive much longer, filling the prophecy of Pythia.
Laura's becoming more of a tyrant, even if she doesn't mean to. Is this part of her confession to Baltar that she "doesn't care about morals anymore"?

Ok...I've never considered myself to be a Bible thumping conservative but I am a Christian and I'm having a hard time with Baltar being cast in the role of Jesus. This episode wasn't even slightly subtle. I was fully expecting Baltar to be crucified at the end of the episode. The most blatant parallel to Jesus was when Baltar went into the "church" and trashed the place. This is very similar to when Jesus went into the temple and turned over the tables of the money changers and merchants conducting business in the temple.

Having said that this episode bolstered my opinion about there being a real human Baltar some where and Galactica Baltar being the last of the 12. Just as Jesus was the son of God, Cylon Baltar is the "son" of human Baltar.

But that's just my opinion...I could be wrong.

You're right. Baltar's "fit" in the Galactica's temple did closely parallel Jesus in the temple. I can't believe I missed that.
As for Baltar "being" Jesus, or the Colonial version of Him, I'm not keen on that. That was one of the reasons I didn't like his time with the Cylons in season 3.

This was more of a spiritual episode for me at least. This is just touching on the problems that will be hitting the fleet soon with this "Baltar Cult"

It was nice to see the Quorum acting respectfull and not just trying to scream over each other.

What really stood out for me was that the war of the gods has begun. I forsee that it will become an epic battle by the end.


Did anyone else notice that when Baltar is "lifted" up by Head-Six, he seems to be physically lifted?

The beating up of the women really brought the darkness of this show to the max. Couldn't help but wince at that whole scene.

There was something mentioned on Battlestar Wiki in regards to that, that I found interesting. The color and style of the wig is reminiscent of Cain's hairstyle and this wig is foreshadowing Laura's change in demeanor.

I thought it was the weakest episode so far this season. No huge revelations yet, but plenty to leave even a dedicated fan like me who has seen every episode at least once scratching her head in confusion. Lots of stuff I didn't get at all.

I saw that too. I know this isn't the first time Head Six has had physical interaction with Baltar, but it may be the first time it was in front of people. I'll have to check.

Caprica said she can "feel" the final five are close. I wonder if her feeling increased when she was with Tigh, especially when she was making physical contact with him.

i thought it was a good episode, not the most exciting but very interesting. im rather inpressed by the whole Baltar Jesus situation. it takes writers alot of balls to make a character who pretty much a direct clone of a biblical one because they get alot of flak! very intersting! more excited about next weeks! i want to see some action soon!

We also thought it looked like HeadSix was physically lifting Baltar. There's a shot of his foot and it doesn't look like it's connecting to the deck with enough pressure to support him.

Makes me think back to when Baltar asks in Season 1 whether Shelley Godfrey was ever really there. What if she was just a Head entity who chose to be seen by everyone and have a physical presence? That's wild speculation, obviously, but having HeadSix actually lift him does raise an awful lot of questions.

Another question: I feel from what HeadBaltar said last episode about Tory and the way HeadSix looked at Tory at the end of 'Escape Velocity' that the Head entity/ies know who the Four are.

Have just thought: don't reckon the Head entity is the final Cylon. The Razor Hybrid says something like "...and they shall all gather together in the Promised Land, borne on the wings of an angel.". HeadSix has consistently referred to herself as an Angel of God. Makes me reckon that's that entity/ies role.

I kinda thought it odd Head Six was standing next to Tory. I think it does show the "Head" people know who the Final Five are.
Then again, I also read a theory that Head Six "entered" Tory, and that is why she saved Nichols before killing Cally.
