1) The constellation Orion appears in this episode. It is clearly visible in the background of the basestars shortly before Cavil's ships begin to attack, and may be visible when Cally looks out the window in the launch tube shortly before she is confronted by Foster.

This would indicate that both fleets are relatively close to Earth. However, for them to see Orion in the same two-dimensional configuration as from Earth, they would have to be within a few light years of Sol and in a relatively narrow corridor between it an Orion.

Please, to all those whining about Cally's death, I know she is many's favorite character (I'd be miffed if they spaced Admiral Adama), but you cant be offended at a character death; it's part of the show, there have to be consequences, or it’s just another scifi show, plus it's the last season. Be greatful you even had Cally, remember she was just a miniseries character and got a bigger role.

I'm not offended, I'm just upset and pissed off at Tori. I am a little niffed my expectation of more stuff with Cally this season won't be fulfilled, but I'm fairly confident this'll turn out to be worth it.

Well, that comment was IMO. I'm sure other people find others characters likable. As far as Gaeta goes, I don't dislike him, I just think he's a little dull.

The human drama makes this show great. I guess I just come from not having or wanting kids. Besides that fact it seemed to me every time you saw that kid he was crying and loud too. To me it was almost drowning out everything around. I know kids don't cry THAT much.

Well, some kids cry that much, when they're upset, wether physically, or emotionally. And poor Nicky Tyrol is not in the best of environments. I'm surprised there hasn't been an episode on child abuse yet....

Yes, that came to mind, but I was more talking about the pressures people in the fleet live under, and the fact that that might push some to beating up their kids.

I mean, I live a relatively normal life, with my needs covered, but sometimes my son mishbehaves so much, that I feel like smacking him... even though I can control myself. Just imagine someone living in the Fleet.

Nice eagle-eye with Orion. It would also mean that if a straight line were drawn between Sol and Orion, the fleet would be practically on that line.
Another question with the launch tube, is where is the current hanger deck leader? Tyrol says in season one that on his shift, he walks the perimeter of the deck to make sure all hatches are shut etc. This is not done now, and not when The Circle exectued their criminals.
