I am rewriting the episode guides here and I thought I add topics where our members can rate the individual epiosdes. Here is the first rating topic to go along with the Miniseries episode guide that I am currently working on.

Vote and if you want share your thoughts when you had when you saw the miniseries.

I will rate it episode within the guide but of course that is only my opinion and I would like to hear from others as to what they liked or disliked about them as well.

I think it was very good. Honestly I don't think the beginning of anything can ever be the best part but it was extremely good and had a rawness and a reality that has rarely been equaled in later episodes.

I loved it. I liked how there was a lot of confusion going on at first and then the desperate escape.

I liked it a lot, and it was very promising. I couldn't wait for the series to start after that. I saw it first on DVD when it was already clear that it would continue.

I saw it on Space a few months before the series started so I didn't have long to wait. My father had seen it long before and he wanted the rest of the family to get caught up.

V was a great miniseries! I liked that one too. Just another thing I have to get on DVD eventually.

Really enjoyed the miniseries. One of the best parts are when Lees viper loses power and Starbuck does a somewhat original rescue attempt.

That's true. They made the miniseries to see if someone liked it, and if they did, they would continue with the making of season 1.

I voted "best" but I've go to admit that I wasn't sure if that mean't out of all of NuBSG or not. However, if you mean as a starter than I have to say that I found the miniseries is up there with many of the best pilot outings I've seen. It really sets the scene and gives you that "this is Battlestar Galactica but not as you know it" feeling. I simply LOVE what they've done with the original premise, and the guy that lent me the DVDs was proven not to be a liar!

I rated it good because it was a first good effort to launching the series. It had good acting, good special effects, and an okay ending. For my taste I would have preferred more high drama! Not this negative downward spiral into depression. God! It was too much. You need something to bring your audience back, not make them run to the liquor cabinet! I watch sci-fi to escape from reality not to get a full dose of it! I think this episode is the worst nightmare that could happen to any military! The protectors are helpless and powerless to stop the enemy that they were trained to stop! It was too one-sided. I wanted to see an epic battle! That would have rocked! They could have had one giant Cylon armada ambush the Colonial fleet and watch all the battlestars desperately fight off an endless expanse of Cylon Baseships - like something out of Lord Of the Rings! Millions of bad guys and only a handful of good guys! Now that's the kind of epic story that I am talking about! In the end all but one battlestar remains, ours truly, the Galactica, but the vast majority of the Cylon fleet is destroyed, but there is still a large group to launch an attack on the colonies. Thus forcing the Galactica to make a run for it and save as many of civilian fleet as possible.

Not a bad first effort! I liked it enough to keep coming back for more. So it gets a good in my book, but definitely not a great!
