I hope they reshow it before next season. Ive been looking for the intro on YouTube but I can't find it. And Im too poor (and cheap) to buy the DVD.

It is well worth getting! Get the Season 1 set and the miniseries comes with it. I have sent Tom several trailers that he will be adding to the Video player for the miniseries.

So did my boyfriend, but we haven't watched it yet. The series comes bundled only in the US, as far as I know. The rest of us have to buy the mini and the first season separately.

I wish NBC would show the miniseries during primetime even during non sweeps months just to see the ratings it would pull.

The miniseries is the highest rated show on Scifi to date.

I watched the mini series again over the last couple of nights before bed. I think I am going to continue with the pre-bed pattern and watch season 1 again. It is certainly interesting to see what was retained, changed or airlocked after the pilot. A lot of minor stuff like Gaeta's name being pronounced different, the Viper pilot named Anders, etc. I am so glad they decided to not do anything with Boxey. The character just had no place in NuBSG.
Oh and hot damn Six was wearing an extremely red dress!

I saw some of it awhile ago for an art contest or something I think... I forgot how violent the mini was... MAN, like WOW.

The mini is VERY violent; the scene where Adama beats Leoben to death with a flashlight was like something out of a Martin Scorsese movie. 
It's like Adama is venting ALL the rage for the human race in that one scene of payback.
The violence and the (IMO, slight) over-abundance of sex* of the mini clearly informs it's audience that there are no furry daggit-bots in this show, boys and girls.
This is really a story about an apocalypse (complete with nukes and hard choices). No kidding around...
* Just to clarify, I'm NOT a prude; it's just that all the screwing around made it feel like one of those movies where they used to flash a boob just to get an 'R' rating (yes, I know; we North Americans are such old ladies sometimes...). Kind of gratuitous. Sex in context doesn't bother me at all, but having the Boomer/Tyrol scene right next to the Six/Baltar scene made it almost look like "Battlestar Fornicatia."
