I found what appears to be windows at the "bow" of Galactica on Coxxon's BSG meshes.

I didnt neccessarily believe the mesh until I took a good look at my desktop wallpaper.
Could this be the galactica's CIC? They never showed windows on the set. TOS had windows though.
Once again Pegasus doesnt appear to have windows in that location.

There is a window in the front of the ship. It is like an observation room. They where letting couples go there to make out for a short time under the stars. Billy and Dee where there while he was still alive.

I would tend to believe that, as Galactica's nerve center, the CIC would be buried deep within the ship's hull and thus, no windows.

Maybe it's main battery fire control? Or the astrogation center?

Ah, I get it... Kind of like the bubble on the nose of Babylon 5... A "rumpus room", if you will. naughty3dg.gif

Here's my desktop wallpaper where u can see the windows.

Could you find the screencap of Billy and Dee on the "observation deck"?

Perhaps thats where shortrange navigation/steering is conducted. It would be like a peacetime bridge, sort of like the bridge and battle bridge (CIC)on the enterprises.

I really dont thenk they would but something like a bridge behind a piece of glass which could so easily be hit. it might just be as zipper said a observation deck or in case all there systems go out something to look out of so there not flying blind.

It was in more of the deleted scenes from Season 2. You see them setting in these Ready Room like chairs and Dee Says "watch they like to show off" and it shows the CAP flying toward the Galactica Bow and peal off at the last momment.

Yeah exactly - but not a bar. Just seats in back of a big glass window

IIRC, there was an interview with one of the production people at the beginning of first season - they said that CIC is actually center and to the rear of the main body of the ship, just in front of the engine assembly. For the life of me, I can't remember where I read this, but there it is...

frak! I thought it would be dead center in that "alligator head" section at the front of the ship(yes I know that sounds doofy, but thats what I think of everytime I see it!)

In TOS BSG, the bridge was located on the top-center of the ship's head. It is natural to assume it would be in the same general vicinity on the new ship. I don't know...the guy who mentioned that could have been talking out of his ass, but I definitely remember someone mentioning that odd location for CIC. I'm going to have to go digging...

Wouldent it being by the engine assembly be dangerous. In case of explotions near there?

Somewhere amidships, closer to the bow, would seem more likely.
