Colonial Battlecruiser kitbash

Just wanted to say, I am building up a Colonial Battlecruiser model. Will take a week or two to complete. I am not a professional model painter as some on here are. I must say they do an awesome job. I will post pictures, and updates on this.

Hey thanks all for the welcome, the scale will be the same as Timeslip creations Battlestar Galactica Actually the kit i am using is this kit. I will get some pics up on here of it, just bear with me for a few days. Again thanks for the welcome. I have been really impressed by the work i have seen on here from some of you all. I have never seen any negative remarks on here, it is good to see that. so many sites out there they bash each other.

I have to use photo bucket .put your pic's on there.copy the direct link or I think the url.come here open the insert lmage tab at the top of this box. paste the link and insert .hope this helps took me forever to learn.lots of good people here to help ....

If you need to there is another free posting site out there you can use if you want. Try IMAGESHACK.COM if you want. Very easy to use. Just upload your pic from the computer by clicking BROWSE then when it is uploaded click on the FORUM CODE to get the right one to post it here.

I will work to get some more pics up of this kitbash. I have painted it, and put some decals on it. Again I am not as good at all as some of the model builders on here. The question I pose to you all is this. Should this be a Battlecruiser or just another Battlestar. The landing bay pod is larger than the standard one. It has launch tubes on both sides of it. So I ask what you all think.

Ok Kind of the idea I had is something like this. Battlestar Kraken BS 86 was a battlestar of the same class as the Galactica. She served with distinction in the colonial fleet. 20 years before the outbreak of the 2nd Cylon War she had retracted her landing bays for an FTL jump. Before the jump was made though an internal explosion occured. It was never determied if this was the work of the Cylons, or Pirates. However it was shown to be sabotage. Due to the unique nature of the damage. The landing bays were left in the retracted position, and were then converted into crew quarters, and such. A fleet engineer came up with a redesign of how the viper squadrons would be deployed. He propsed that a landing bay that was slightly larger than the standard landing bays available at the time be built, and that the Kraken would only be equipped with one of these which would lower and retract from the bottom of the battlestar. This landing bay would able to launch vipers from both sides. After 2 years of construction, the overhaul was completed and the battlestar Kraken would rejoin the fleet. Some in the Admiralty would argue that she should be reclassified as a Battlecruiser. The debate still goes on.
