*pouts* I am not frustrated...Everyone knows Don...at least he is appreciated for his hard work and talent.

He is (IMO) one of the most brilliantly complex characters I've seen on TV since Hawkeye Pierce....

As for good deeds for today:

I restrained myself from jumping over the fence and killing all of my neighbors evil, stupid, forever-barking dogs who s**t all over my front yard this morning. :ranting:
After seeing a big, steaming pile of dog s**t on my front yard today? I'd say I was a frakking model of self-restraint... :innocent:

Good for you buddy! Glad you restrained yourself from doing any harm to the puppies.

As for myself, I helped a lady carry her baby and stroller down the stairs.

You're a great guy...

And as for the neighbor's dogs? They're not exactly puppies... the ones I hate are decade-old, b@lls hanging to the ground, smelly, flea-ridden old dogs.

They're about as cute and sweet as a box of roaches....

Blowing some dust off this one (I guess no one's been good since November, eh? :naughty3dg: )

The good deed I've been doing all week (Tuesday morning thru Friday morning) is cooking BBQ meatballs for Mrs T's school club fundraiser.
I made a batch of about 90 yesterday and Mrs T called to tell me they sold out in 15 minutes (!!). I almost fainted dead away...

So, today I made a batch of 110, and they sold thru a little slower, but they still sold out. Tomorrow and Friday more of the same. She's raised a grip of money so far (much more than I spent on ingredients). Much goodness all around...

The only kicker is that I have to wake up every morning around 2 am or so to start making these; they're slow cooked (as to let the meatballs get really soft and saturated in BBQ sauce; which is an over the counter mix that I thin out with chicken stock and some other 'secret ingredients'; Chef Boyar-OT will never tell.... :P  ).

I don't mind getting up ridiculously early though; I'm generally more of a morning person these days anyway (if my 20-something year old self could hear me say that? He'd have had my current 40-something self committed! I use to drag my a$$ to bed at 2 or 3 am when I was single; forget waking up at 2.... )

Speaking of food, I just bought doughnuts for my work colleagues, that way I don't feel guilty by eating them alone LOL.

Guilt free doughnuts... the best kind. :D
Sadly, I haven't had a doughnut in years. Of course, you wouldn't know it by looking at me right now...

Good deed for today; woke up at 2 am (again) and made 120 meatballs for my wife's fundraiser. And since we had our neighbor dogs barking most of the damn night, I got about 2.5 hours of sleep. I've drank a tankard of coffee and I'm on a second wind. I tried napping after I got home (about an hour or so ago), but no go... too wired from the caffeine.  :argh:

Other good deed I did today: dropped off a friends' birthday present (see: what made me happy thread). :)

Just started my last batch for today this morning....

It's been great to have others not only appreciate my cooking, but pay for it too! Even if for a fundraiser... :P

Funny thing is though? I now (officially) feel like Arnie from Galactica: 1980 ("The Night The Cylons Landed" part 2); the radio station host who boasts of his famous 'meatballs'....

Only differences: Mine are actually good, no Cylons were harmed in their preparation (another good deed for the day :P ) and I'd NEVER use a microwave to reheat mine; slow cooker only, and 'keep warm' setting after they're done.

Never microwave them! :cylonnono:

Well, the 4 days of waking up at 2 am to cook a hundred or so meatballs every day is done; raised hundreds of bucks for my wife's campus club and they sold out every day. Goody, goody! The first time I've ever actually SOLD food I've made...

Not bad for an old fart who only discovered cooking about a year or so ago (and that he loved it). :P

Went to the manager of a local store to personally commend the sales person who waited on me; she was very patient, called other stores to help me, and even stayed on hold with the other store while servicing other customers. All the while, she kept her cool, and stayed very friendly. In all, she helped me for about 20 minutes (and never once appeared frustrated or annoyed). She was a model of exemplary service, and I thought her manager needed to know that.

BTW: With her help, I was able to get the other 2 items I was looking for.
