Ok, so on the interwebs, I am seeing that the final five episodes are appearing in HD (720p). Where are these coming from? Has the 1.5 set been released yet? I thought Canada's Space Channel didn't have an HD version? Are they airing on some HD channel in Canada? Have they been released on Blu-Ray somewhere? Inquiring minds want to know, lol.

The North American dvd/Bluray release was slated for tomorrow (the BRs should be 1080p); December 21st. Hope that helps.
Here in the US, SyFy (a.k.a. the Syphilis channel) broadcasts in 1080i.
Being a throwback, I'm opting for my 480p dvds (slightly upscaled through my dvd player's HDMI interface). Good enough for this ol' toaster!

I'm pretty sure Space shows certain things in HD, but I don't have HD, so what do I know?
