"Skyfall" takes a sentimental look back at 50 years of Bond; while relentlessly moving the franchise ahead....

"Skyfall" is the latest Bond adventure, coming on on the franchise's 50 year anniversary; and while it nods to Bond's past, it also pushes the franchise ahead...

OT's Strangelove: Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Blu-Ray...

Well, after six years of digging in my heels, listing all the reasons I wouldn't, and generally eschewing the pursuit of technology's tail, Mrs T and I finally caved in and have adopted what is probably the LAST of the hard-media video formats, the Blu Ray disc. And so far (only four days in)? I think it's LOVE, ladies and...

And to quote Spock, when sampling McCoy's beans in "Star Trek V"...

Why retrofitting movies into 3D really SUCKS. One obsolete toaster's opinion.....

It amazes me that people will very likely pay good money again (extra $ too, for the 3D ticket) to see "The Phantom freaking...

Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" is a high tech, 3D look at the birth pangs of the motion picture and the lost art of the automaton...

Saw "Hugo" in 3D tonight.

Despite what I'd heard about it (and even with 11 Academy Award nominations), I suppose I was half-expecting Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" to be a live-action "Tin Tin"/"Polar Express" kind of movie, and it was absolutely nothing like that at all....
