Sonatica in the bed of illumination.

I rest my eyes for a moment, a sudden light blinds me. It's calm and quiet but they say the delay is always there before a storm breaks loose. A light push on the lower end of my bed forces my mind to detach from the urge of dreaming. The smell of a rusty battlestar decaying is no longer here, it has disappeared with the rest of the illusion that's no longer mine and the song so delicate the lords of kobol themselves would frown at the very introduction. It had been a dream to savour but here I am, awaken by a human I still don't know the identity of. I lie still in the desperate belief that what cannot be seen is not there as if what had been seen before would disappear because of this fine ironic metaphor of life. My trust for the legitimacy of this belief is proved false when I suddenly feel something climbing the bed and landing horisontically over my legs. It's not heavy, much more the weight of an enclosed instrument. I slowly allow my eyes to run away from darkness and embrace the light whilst this object that previously lied so softly over my legs now start crawling over the bed and now seems to be positioned across my chest with two relatively light but long extensions reached down my sides. I hide my face underneath the bedsheet in a pathetic attempt to hide myself from an essential truth. Years pass and I start hearing breaths, as if this object has been an organic being all along. Suddenly my face is smashed by medium sized round weaponry.

- I think it's time you went up, don't you?

The voice is familiar in a very unpleasant way and I finally come to my senses. Raising my upper body I unintentionally push this object, that has now manifested itself in human form, down from the bed. Focusing my eyes it was easy to determine that my sister Mirna woke me up. It is a rather normal family I live in, not that I know of any families in Caprica City that aren't normal. I'm a fortunate person, because not every man has computer science as a hobby. Whereas some people go through horrid studying sessions I just listen during the lessons and imprint it in my mind immediately. It is unfortunate, however, that I can't seem to focus as much during lessons like History which basically covered the past of the twelve colonies and some theories regarding the thirteenth colony. Lessons other than those following the logics of mathematics seem impossible to learn but I've managed relatively good so far with I-O grades in such classes.
A sudden impact on my stomach prevents me from travelling any further in my line of thought. It appears my sister is insisting on that I should come down to the kitchen. I ruffle her hair and hastily puts on my Pegasus T-Shirt before I launch myself out of my room and rush to the elevator. Inside it's stiff, a hygienically clean space with no dirt to be seen. I push my way down to the kitchen floor. The elevator is pretty roomy as it is designed to hold more thirty people or 5720 pounds but since I woke a little later today most people are at work or studying in the various facilities located in the building. The elevator stops, I step out and continue down the corridor until I reach a door with the sign "Hall 3" on it. I close my eyes, take a deep breath and open the door. The first thing that strikes me is the smell, it smelled like burned plastics. I hestitated at first as I inhaled the smoke but decided to move forward. Curiously, but cautiously, I crawled beneath the layer of ill smelling smoke and made my way toward the cooking area where the equipment was located.

Zipper, if you read this, this would be a perfect example of the kind of RPG that we have in mind for the forum later on.

Thank you, as I read through it I realise there are some grammatical flaws. Hopefully I'll be able to take care of them all. This is going to be a fanfiction that is worth reading, at least that's my goal. If it's good enough I might even turn this in to the school as my schoolproject.

Thanks ^^ . Well, all I can do is hope for the best. I'm working on this and another novel at the same time... Spending most of the time on the original one though.
